- News
I have been a news geek since my mother got me hooked on watching CNN instead of cartoons in elementary school. My career has been focused on creating online content for both broadcast and print journalism, including http://www.wral.com, http://www.wkrn.com and http://www.newsobserver.com.
- Sports
I have tried to defy the stereotype of the female sports fan who only expresses an interest to attract men and wear ugly pink hats. As a North Carolina alum, I cheer the boys in Carolina blue and love ACC basketball.
I also am a longtime supporter of the Tennessee Titans, the St. Louis Cardinals and Liverpool FC in the English Premier League.

I adore British comedy, and have enjoyed the wit of such shows as Doctor Who, Black Books, Green Wing, Coupling, The IT Crowd, the UK version of The Office, and Father Ted. I'm also a ridiculous Torchwood fangirl.
I've also been a fan of Hugh Laurie since the days of A Little Bit of Fry & Laurie, and would never miss an episode of House, M.D.
I'm very eclectic and flexible in my TV tastes, and enjoy watching everything from the X-Files to Anthony Bourdain to Dirty Sexy Money. Find out more about my TV interests at Media Scribbler and my personal blog.

My favorite radio stations are the dearly departed Virgin Radio and BBC Radio One. Thus, you can probably figure out that I have a thing for Brit Pop and European electronica. I am a huge, HUGE Robbie Williams fan, and I truly believe that Americans are missing out on a great talent there. Also love Sting, Manic Street Preachers, Camera Obscura, Belle & Sebastian, Mika, the Pipettes, Travis and Lady Sovereign. My favorite electronic artists are DJ Tiesto, BT and Hybrid.
I've also loved country and bluegrass music since I was a little girl growing up in Tennessee. My all-time favorite musical artist is Reba McEntire.
